Getting started
Where do I start?
Start with the free AI Pulse: about 4 minutes, no email. For leadership, tell us what's prompting it and we'll suggest a size.
Are there other free checks?
Yes: the Governance Health Check for boards and councils, and the Decision Signature for leaders.
Not sure we're the right fit?
Ask. If someone else fits better, we'll tell you and point you to them.
What happens when I get in touch?
You'll hear back within two business days. We talk it through, and if you go ahead, the scope, timing and fee go in writing first.
Practical AI
Is it safe to put our information into AI tools?
We only set things up in tools your organization already allows, and your AI plan says what should and shouldn't go into each one.
Will AI replace people on our team?
Your AI plan looks for time your organization can redirect, not people to cut.
How much of our team's time does the AI Handoff Plan take?
About two hours each for one or two people who do the work: 60-minute discovery, 45-minute findings and a 15-minute check-in. You join the findings call; if you are one of those participants, it is already included in your two hours.
We're a public body. Can we pay by purchase order?
Yes. We book the discovery session once your purchase order is issued, and you pay on your normal terms.
Do we have to sign up for ongoing help?
No. Your AI plan is yours to put in place yourself or with another provider. If you'd like our help, we scope it to what you need.
Leadership
What's the smallest way to start?
Start with a half-day team session or a short assessment. Cohorts and more are on the leadership page.
Can one organization run its own Leadership Cohort?
Yes. A cohort is usually up to 15 senior leaders at a similar level. If you only have a few, a regional cohort can pool neighbouring organizations.
Are assessment results confidential?
Yes. Individual reports go to the person, team reports to the team, and how results are used is agreed up front.

Who sees a governance evaluation report?
The chair and the leader being evaluated. The full council or board reviews it in closed session, and we don't share it further.
Can you investigate a complaint about a senior leader?
Yes, independently. If we're already your HR partner, we refer it to another independent investigator, and we agree the route with you up front.

Do you handle payroll, benefits or compliance?
We focus on people decisions and practical AI. For payroll, benefits or compliance, we'll point you to a specialist.
Where do you work?
We're based in Edmonton and work across Canada and the United States, in person and virtually. Any travel is listed separately in your proposal.
Why aren't prices published?
Most work depends on scope, so we agree on the investment with you once we understand what you need. The current one-time investment for the AI Handoff Plan is C$795. Pricing for future bookings may change at BlueChip's sole discretion. Your fee is confirmed before you book.
How soon can you start?
Assessments usually within one to two weeks, governance evaluations six to eight weeks out. A Leadership Cohort starts on a date agreed with you, with the length set to fit your leaders.
