BlueChip People Strategies ("BlueChip", "we", "us", "our") is an HR, leadership and practical AI advisory practice based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and serving North America. We are committed to protecting the privacy of individuals who visit our website, contact us, or engage our services.
This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights with respect to that information.
1. Who This Policy Applies To

Visitors to bluechip-people-strategies.com
Individuals who contact us by email or through our website
Clients who engage us for advisory, coaching, workshop, or speaking services
This policy also applies to individuals who use our free online checks, choose to share a completed check, or subscribe to BlueChip Updates.
2. What Personal Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
Name and job title
Work email address and phone number
Organization name
Information about your HR situation or workplace context shared during intake or sessions
Payment information (processed by Stripe; we do not store card details)
Information collected automatically when you visit our website or use our free online checks:
Pages visited, time spent, scrolling, and the links and buttons you click
General location (country, region or city level)
Device and browser type
Referring website, and the search terms that led to our site (reported to us in aggregate)
How you move through our pages and free online checks (for example, which question you reached) and, for some visits, a recording of how the page was used (clicks, scrolling and what was on screen). Text typed into form fields is masked in these recordings.
We use cookies and similar technologies for these analytics, through Squarespace Analytics, Google Analytics and PostHog. Google Analytics may also give us aggregated information about visitors' age range and interests. We do not run advertising pixels or third-party retargeting, and we do not sell this information. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
AI Pulse. Your choices are saved in your browser tab while you use the Pulse. Website-usage analytics described above may still be collected. If you choose to request an emailed snapshot, we collect your email address, completed answers, optional note, result, the sharing-notice version and available source/campaign information. The notice beside that request explains that these are shared with Thomas at BlueChip. Viewing your free result does not require this request. Please leave out confidential, client and employee information.
BlueChip Updates. If you subscribe, we collect your email address, your first name if you choose to provide it, and signup, confirmation and consent records. These records help us manage your subscription and understand how you found the signup. If email engagement tracking is enabled, we also receive email-open and link-click information. Opens are an imperfect indicator and do not establish that a person read an email.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
Respond to inquiries and schedule sessions
Deliver advisory, coaching, workshop, or speaking services
Process payments
Send session-related communications (confirmations, follow-ups, invoices)
Comply with legal obligations
Improve our services and website
We do not sell or rent your personal information, or provide it to other organizations for their own marketing. Service providers such as Sender process information on our behalf to deliver the services or newsletter you request, as described below.
When you request an AI Pulse snapshot, we use the shared information to send your requested result, understand your check, develop useful workplace content and help organizations improve how they use AI in practice. Public educational or marketing content uses anonymized or aggregated themes that do not reasonably identify you, your organization or another individual. We do not publish identifying answers without separate express permission.
For BlueChip Updates, we send the twice-monthly emails you requested, manage confirmation and unsubscribe requests, and improve the usefulness of those emails. Requesting a snapshot, contacting us or using a free check does not automatically subscribe you to the newsletter.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We use the following third-party tools to operate our business. Each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data:
Squarespace: website hosting and analytics (squarespace.com/privacy)
Google Analytics and Google Search Console: website analytics and search reporting (policies.google.com/privacy)
PostHog: analytics and session recordings on our website and free online checks (posthog.com/privacy)
Vercel, Resend and OpenPhone: our contact form, chat and free online checks at check.bluechip-people-strategies.com are hosted by Vercel (vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy), their emails are sent by Resend (resend.com/legal/privacy-policy), and text messages go through OpenPhone (openphone.com/privacy)
Stripe: payment processing (stripe.com/privacy)
Notion: internal notes and client file management (notion.so/privacy)
Google: calendar and email (policies.google.com/privacy)
We take reasonable steps to ensure these providers maintain appropriate privacy and security standards.
Sender: newsletter list management, subscription confirmations, BlueChip Updates distribution and associated engagement reporting.
Some providers process or store information outside Canada. For information about our policies and practices concerning those providers, or questions about their collection, use, disclosure or storage of personal information, contact Thomas at BlueChip, our privacy contact, at hello@bluechip-people-strategies.com.
5. Confidentiality of Client Information
Information shared during advisory sessions is treated as confidential. We do not disclose client-specific details to third parties except:
Where required by law or regulatory authority
With your express written consent
Where necessary to prevent serious harm
Session notes are stored securely and accessed only by our team.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to deliver services and meet legal obligations. Client files are generally retained for a minimum of seven years following the conclusion of an engagement, in accordance with standard professional practice in Alberta.
You may request deletion of your information at any time (subject to legal retention requirements) by contacting us at hello@bluechip-people-strategies.com.
Newsletter signup, consent and unsubscribe records are kept as reasonably needed to manage the requested subscription, document permission, respect withdrawal and meet applicable legal requirements. Using a free check or subscribing to BlueChip Updates does not by itself create a paid client engagement.
7. Your Privacy Rights
As a resident of Alberta, Canada, you have rights under the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) including the right to:
Know what personal information we hold about you
Request access to your personal information
Request correction of inaccurate information
Withdraw consent to collection or use (subject to legal or contractual limitations)

You can stop receiving BlueChip Updates at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email or contacting hello@bluechip-people-strategies.com. Newsletter consent is separate from a request for an AI Pulse snapshot.
8. Security
We take reasonable precautions to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure. This includes use of password-protected systems, encrypted cloud storage, and access controls limited to our team.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for adults in professional or organizational contexts. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Where a new use of personal information requires notice or consent, we will provide that notice or seek that consent. Updating this policy does not automatically subscribe anyone to BlueChip Updates or replace consent where it is required.
