Questions people
usually ask first.
Everything you'd want to know before reaching out — about how we work, who we work with, what things cost, and what's always out of scope.
The basics.
We help leaders and organizations diagnose what's actually broken — and fix the right thing.
Most people and performance problems aren't people problems. They're system problems, clarity problems, and leadership problems that nobody's named yet. We name them. Then we build practical, evidence-informed solutions that hold up in real environments, not just on paper.
Our work sits at the intersection of three disciplines: organizational HR, evidence-based coaching science, and high-stakes decision intelligence. Services include HR Advisory + Coaching, workplace investigations, workshops, assessments and diagnostics, and free diagnostic tools. If it involves people, performance, or leadership, we can help.
Small business owners and founders, HR leaders and teams, coaching organizations, municipalities, post-secondary institutions, and executives navigating complex people situations.
The common thread isn't sector — it's mindset. Our best clients are serious about getting to the real problem, willing to hear things that are uncomfortable, and committed to following through. Our best work happens when clients are open to genuinely examining what's happening — not just confirming what they already believe.
Three things.
First, we diagnose before we prescribe. Always. We don't move until we understand what's actually happening — and that changes everything about what we recommend.
Second, our background is genuinely unusual. The founder brings over two decades of experience across organizational HR, evidence-based coaching science, post-secondary education, and high-stakes competitive environments — including a Master's degree in coaching focused on performance development and data-informed practice. That combination produces insight that a single-discipline advisor can't replicate.
Third, we tell you what we actually think — not just what's comfortable to say.
A BlueChip investment is one built for long-term value — not a quick return, not a flashy short-term play. Strong people systems work the same way. When organizations take the time to understand what's actually happening beneath the surface, they build resilience, trust, and performance that lasts. The name reflects what we believe: people systems are long-term investments. Treat them like it.
Yes — BlueChip serves clients throughout 🇨🇦 Canada and 🇺🇸 the United States, with most engagements delivered virtually. We work with organizations wherever they are. The most important organizational problems don't have a postal code.

Yes. Independent investigations into harassment and discrimination, workplace violence, misconduct and policy violations, toxic leadership and culture complaints, and whistleblower complaints.
Every investigation includes structured interviews with all relevant parties, a written report with findings and recommendations, and a debrief session. Investigations are scoped individually — contact us to discuss your situation.
Important: BlueChip conducts HR investigations — not legal investigations. Where findings indicate legal exposure, we'll flag it clearly and recommend appropriate legal counsel.
BlueChip's flagship workshop for leaders, HR teams, managers, and coaches. Participants learn to diagnose people and system problems using frameworks drawn from organizational HR, graduate-level coaching science, and high-stakes decision environments.
Everyone leaves with a written 90-day action plan built around their real organizational challenges. Available as a full day, in-person or virtual, for 12–30 participants. 🇨🇦 🇺🇸 North America-wide. Contact for pricing and availability.
Yes. Most services are available virtually. Coaching, Clarity Calls, assessments, and advisory work are all conducted by phone or video as standard. Workshops are available virtually at a reduction on in-person pricing. For in-person work outside Edmonton, travel is charged at cost with an estimate provided before contract signing.
Process, timelines, and what to expect.
Every engagement follows the same three-step framework:
- Diagnose — We start by understanding what's actually happening before recommending anything.
- Design — We build a practical, context-specific approach based on what the diagnosis reveals.
- Deliver & Sustain — We support implementation and stay engaged long enough to make sure the change holds.
That's the most common starting point and often the most honest one. If something feels wrong but you can't name it — performance is inconsistent, good people keep leaving, leadership conversations go nowhere — that's exactly what a diagnostic-first approach is built for. You don't need to arrive with a clearly defined problem. You need to be willing to look at what's actually there.
Both. One-time projects include assessments, standalone workshops, single investigations, and the Clarity Call — all available without any ongoing commitment. For organizations that need more consistent support, HR Advisory retainers provide ongoing HR and coaching engagement. The right model depends on what you're solving, not a preset package.
Retainer services require a minimum 3-month commitment. Embedded Partnership requires a minimum 6-month commitment. After the minimum term, engagements continue month-to-month and can be cancelled with 30 days written notice. Project-based work is governed by a scope agreement signed before work begins.
BlueChip is based in Edmonton, Alberta. We serve clients throughout 🇨🇦 Canada and 🇺🇸 the United States, and welcome engagements across North America. Most advisory, coaching, and on-demand work is conducted virtually. Workshops, investigations, and in-person advisory engagements are available with travel charged at cost.
Start before you commit.

What's in scope — and what isn't.
No — and we'll tell you upfront if we're not. BlueChip does its best work with leaders and organizations that are open to learning, willing to hear honest feedback, and committed to following through. If the timing isn't right or the fit isn't there, we'll say so — and we're happy to point you in a better direction.
